visualSTATE Navigator by IAR Systems is a runtime visualization and debugging companion for IAR visualSTATE that lets you observe, navigate, and validate UML state machines as your embedded application executes. It provides a live, model-level view synchronized with the running code so you can troubleshoot event-driven behavior faster and with greater confidence.

Key capabilities:

  • Live visualization of active states, substates, and transitions during execution
  • Model-level debugging: set breakpoints on states or transitions, step through events, and inspect guards and actions
  • Event injection to stimulate and verify system responses without changing application code
  • Trace and logging to analyze execution paths and timing
  • Coverage and verification support to help assess test completeness at the state/transition level
  • Seamless integration with IAR Embedded Workbench and the C-SPY debugger, on both target hardware and simulators

By bridging the gap between design and runtime behavior, visualSTATE Navigator accelerates debugging, improves test quality, and strengthens traceability for complex, event-driven embedded systems.

visualSTATE Navigator is developed by IAR Systems. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 6.1 and 7.2. The name of the program executable file is Navigator.exe. Works with vnw file type.
